On December 23, 1978 at approximately 10:30 a.m. the body of Lisa Ryder was located in a tall grassy area approximately 10 feet from the eastside shoulder of Maryland Route 65, in Sharpsburg, Washington County, MD by individuals traveling on Route 65. Lisa was last seen on December 21, 1978 preparing for school, however she never made it to school. Lisa Ryder was reported missing to the Alexandria, Virginia Police Department on December 24, 1978.
